·         How does your prelim represent particular social groups?
My Prelim represents a social group of students who take the education seriously but enjoy themselves at the same time. My front cover has my model on it Emma Kerr, she is dressed quite smartly, holding her college folders and smiling, the fact that she is smiling shows to the audiences she is happy and enjoying herself at college. On my contents page there is also an image of 2 boys taking part in a 'peer mentoring session', this is a featured story in the magazine and shows that the students are friendly and yhelpful towards each other.
·         Who would be the intended audience for your product?
The intended audience of 'College Knowledge' would be students around 16+ it is a school magazine and would be relevant to students of that age at the specific college the magazine was made for. It is relevant to that college and the stories described in the contents page are specific to a specific college.
·         How did you attract/ address your audience?
The magazine is called 'College Knowledge', this should appeal to the audience as they can find out things happening in and around there college at the recent time. It also can be very useful, as it advertises its special features which are relevant to specific times of the year. I have put a 'Revision' section which will be useful to students with upcoming exams. The language used is meant to seem asif it is spoken, so quite casual and not patronising at all to the reader as this may put them off from reading it again.
·         What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Using photoshop for the first time was very interesting. At first it was very difficult and i did struggle alot, but as i used it more and explored various tools it became easier. My favourite tool wa sthe magic wand tool as it made cutting images out very easy, although i had to make sure my image was taken with a clear background. It was definately worth doing the PreLim work before the real magazine as my magazine would have been terrible and i wouldnt have known what i was doing.
